Unique Purpose For Industry

If professional speaking is in your orbit, the planet you must visit is the Veteran Speakers Retreat. It's a provocative and practical mix --- speakers (some old friends, some new), presentations, contacts and conversations -- and all on target for what we speakers need most: outreach to and from people who do what we do. If it's not a "must" date on your calendar, consider your calendar obsolete or open. Be there!! … Robert Mayer Evans, CSP, CPAE, Atlanta, GA

VSR provides me with useful information and insights in a relaxed, but busy, too few hours in the company of friends. As a member of NSA since 1978 when its total membership was small I find that VSR now offers me the intimate discussions that were NSA’s hallmark in the early years
…John Jay Daly, Chevy Chase, MD

Takes me back to my early days in NSA (1980) when friends would meet, hang out and share ideas and “war stories” in a fun environment. Because VSR attendance is limited I always look forward to spending time with friends that I meet at each VSR meeting.
…Ed Helvey, Winchester, VA

What initially attracted me to NSA in 1973 was the intimacy and camaraderie of a small group of speakers who really cared about each other and the profession of speaking. The VSR captures that same spirit and feels like home
…Suzy Sutton, CSP, Newtown, PA

The annual Veteran Speakers Retreat has always been a great opportunity to relax with friends and renew the spirit. It is an experience no veteran speaker should miss.
…Ralph Archbold, CSP, CPAE, Philadelphia, PA.

I enjoy getting to interact with many of the same people each year in an informal setting. I’m always inspired to realize that you have to get older but you don’t have to get old.
…Art Gliner, Silver Spring, MD

The Veteran Speakers Retreat gives me an opportunity to rekindle old relationships and start new ones. It’s a more personal journey into the issues facing us all as speakers and human beings
…Sam Silverstein, St Louis, MO

I appreciate the candidness and sincerity of the interactions at VSR. I haven't found that in any other forum. VSR is truly a unique and special event.
…Annette Dubrouillet, Springfield, VA

What I love about the VSR is the opportunity to talk about real issues in a comfortable atmosphere with some of the best in the speaking world. The collective wisdom is phenomenal and I came away with a great deal of respect for the legends of our business
…Ron Culberson, Herndon, VA

It’s so great to renew friendships and particularly enjoyable to get together in a small and more personal setting with others who share similar interests.
...Virginia Tooper, Oakland, CA

For me Veterans Speakers Retreat is a weekend of fellowship with friends of long standing and an opportunity to meet interesting newcomers. The relaxed atmosphere always provides me with new ideas upon which to reflect.
…Lowell Teal, Winter Garden, FL

The Veterans Speakers Retreat, from its beginning, has helped me in getting ready to deal with the tricky golden years. VSR has guided me brilliantly into a happy and soft landing!
…Nick Carter, CPAE, Chicago, IL

Absolutely a great experience.
...Bill Hersey, Norton, MA

Love the small size, it gives me a chance to get to know people better.
...Pam Lontos, Orlando, FL

I enjoyed it so much and plan to be there next year.
...Art Holst, Albuquerque, NM

I would say that this year’s retreat could not be duplicated, but I know the talents of the committee, (the late)
...Alan Cimberg, CPAE, Malverne, NY

I so enjoyed the recent Veteran Speakers Retreat. The time I attended was a great time to renew acquaintances with old friends. I liked the feel of the weekend – it reminded me of the way NSA used to be! Thank you for all the effort you have put in over the years. I hope that the retreat will continue and look forward to attending again.
. . . Patricia Ball, CSP, CPAE, Past National President of NSA, St.Louis, MO

Along with the NSA National Convention, the Veteran Speakers Retreat is one of my 'must do' events every year. It's a wonderful opportunity to recharge my batteries as well as to meet with old (however you wish to interpret that word) friends and colleagues in an intimate setting. I would not miss it.
…George Morrisey, CSP, CPAE, 1994 Cavett Award Recipient, Merritt Island, FL

We are very grateful for the intimacy with our friends.
. . . Norm & Delva Rebin, CPAE, Saskatoon, SK, Canada
